But, something still gnawed at me, so I made my move to the West Coast a few years ago. Shortly after, I became the Hollywood/Culture Correspondent for Dutch national news paper NRC Handelsblad and can also be found in/on Radio1, NPO3, FD Persoonlijk, Brandpunt+, De Correspondent, FilmTotaal, VERS Magazine and more. I attend festivals and conferences like Sundance, SXSW, Toronto International Film Festival and CES. But, working from the fringes of the mainstream entertainment industry, in Hollywood and beyond, I am not competing with others wanting to be “the next” Scorcese or Meryl Streep.
